Qualification :   Doctorate in Physics

Completed Doctorate in Physics.Obtained Ph.D in Physics from Eternal University, Baru Sahib.Completed Master in Physics from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. Obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications from same University. Obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights from IGNOU and WIPO. NATURE OF PRESENT RESPONSIBILITY ? Management of Intellectual Property Rights in Himachal Pradesh: Under the programme, obtained Geographical Indication registrations for Kullu Shawl, Kangra Tea, Chamba Rumal, Kinnauri Shawl and Kangra Paintings. ? Obtained more thatn 170 Authorised Usership for stakeholders of aforementioned Geographical Indications. ? Patent search and forwarding of Patent applications to TIFAC for patent grant. ? Awareness on IPRs through workshops/ seminars. He has Sixteen years of work experience in handling IPR issues and has Prepared a policy on Geographical Indications of Himachal Pradesh and got it notified from Govt. of Himachal Pradesh. As per the policy Himachal Pradesh Patent Information Centre (HPPIC) has been declared as nodal agency for filing GIs of Himachal Pradesh on behalf of stakeholders/ producers of GIs. Participated on behalf of applicant in Consultative group meetings organized by GIR Chennai for registration of Kullu Shawl, Kangra Tea, Chamba Rumal, Kinnauri Shawl and Kangra Paintings. Besides, organizing different programmes like HP Children’s Science Congress, National Mathematics Day, National Science, Day, Hands on Activity workshops, orientation, training workshops for Science TGTs/ PGTs under Science popularization programme of State Council. Also worked on following Solar Passive Housing Technology projects:- o Technical Backup unit for Passive Solar Housing Technology. o Prepared report on project “Thermal Comfort Evaluation of Passive Solar Building in H.P.” o Assisted in the project “Solar Passive Construction of CRC, BRC and school building” under Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan. o Conducted survey of constructed solar passive building in cold desert regions of H.P. (Spiti valley) o Prepared manual on “PASSIVE SOLAR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION – A REFERENCE MANUAL”

Bachelor of Technology (Mechanical Engineering) from Jawaharlal Nehru Govt. Engineering College Sundernagar, Distt. Mandi. Presently, working as Senior Scientific/Technical Assistant (SSA/STA) at Himachal Pradesh Council for Science, Technology & Environment. Present Responsibility: Carry out Patent Searches and forwarding of Patent applications to TIFAC for patent grant. Filing of GI applications with GI Registrar at Chennai, GoI. Organizing various awareness workshops/ seminars on IPRs. As a part of Science popularization programmes of HIMCOSTE, organize National Mathematics Day, National Science Day, HP Children’s Science Congress, Hands on Activity workshops etc.
